Outreach
The Chemistry department at Penn State Altoona is committed to helping the youth of our community. Our programs include:
- Spooktacular
- Kids' College, The Knowledge Factory (A week long hands-on chemistry summer camp for children entering 5th through 7th grades).
- Chemistry demonstrations at local elementary and middle schools.
- Chemistry demonstrations at Penn State Altoona for local schools and non-profit groups.
- Chemistry Merit Badge for Boy Scouts of America.
- Tours of Penn State Altoona's Science Programs and demonstrations by selected faculty to give students a taste of what college life is all about.
