College of Education Computer Requirements - Altoona

The College of Education at Altoona recommends the following minimum computer requirements. More information about recommendations can be found at Office of Information Technology Web site.

13.3 MacBook

  • 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
  • 2 GB of SODIMMs RAM
  • Display 13.3"
  • 120 GB Serial ATA Drive at 5400 RPM
  • 8x double-layer SuperDrive
  • AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook

The College of Education also recommends that you purchase the following software packages and accessories:

  • Microsoft office Mac 2008
  • iLife '09
  • Apple Mini-DVI to VGA Adaptor

This computer can be purchased from Penn State's Computer Store.
