"At Lewistown Hospital, I was presented with the opportunity to achieve my internship requirements by accomplishing and helping the MIS department in its many day-to-day tasks throughout the various departments of the hospital. Some of the day-to-day tasks that I got to take part in were tasks such as VoIP (Voice-over-IP) network management and configuration, developing and implementing new workstations for new/existing hospital employees in the HIM and Finance departments, computer and network support and maintenance, database management for HIM (Health Information Management) and Finance employees, computer and server management setup and implementation, and disposing and recovering important hospital related data. This internship opportunity taught me a lot of patience. It also taught me how to be dedicated, knowledgeable, and intellectual in a career that is needed mostly now in today's computer networking society with managing critical networking computer systems and servers."

Cassandra Baumgardner at Clearfield County Courthouse — Summer 2010

Cassie worked at the MIS department and helped its security practices by refreshing outdated computers, implementing network security best practices, and providing security awareness workshops.

"I was given the opportunity to fulfill my internship requirements by working at the Clearfield County Courthouse and related buildings, including the Clearfield County Emergency Management Agency. My duties at these facilities included tasks such as computer and server management and setup, computer technical support, consulting for new workstations, database management for Clearfield EMA emergency contacts and emergency planning, and networking assistance. The opportunity taught me patience, dedication, and knowledge dealing with computer systems and servers."
