Tuition and Costs

Penn State's tuition and some other costs vary by campus, program, student level, and residency. For example, at the lower division level (freshmen/sophomore), 2012-2013 tuition for Pennsylvania residents attending Penn State Altoona is $2,544 less per year than tuition at the University Park campus. Tuition for lower division non-Pennsylvania residents attending Penn State Altoona is $7,952 less per year than tuition at the University Park campus. There are no income criteria or applications required to qualify for the tuition differential.

The tuition differential continues at the upper division level (junior/senior) for students who choose to complete their Penn State degree at Penn State Altoona.
