INSYS 497A: Internet Safety for Educators
Educators will gain practical knowledge of internet safety issues and the ways in which they can integrate internet safety education into the curriculum. They will also understand the way students are communicating online and what can be done to minimize online risks. This course is intended for schoolteachers, administrators, parents, or undergraduate students in the education program.

SPLED 297A: Autism and Related Disorders: Diagnosis, Causes, and Interventions/Accommodations
Overview of diagnostic categories, co-morbid conditions, characteristics, prevalence estimates, causes, assessment, inclusion accommodations, intervention programs, and impact of autism on family/society.

SPLED 498A: Students with Autism in Inclusive Settings: Practical Applications
This 1-credit course is designed to assist general educators and related personnel who work with students having autism/pervasive developmental disorders in inclusive settings. Course content will center on the philosophical implications of inclusion, working with families and other professionals, and presenting lessons with necessary accommodations.
