For the Future:
The Campaign for Penn State Students
For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students is a University-wide fundraising effort directed toward a shared vision of Penn State as the most comprehensive, student-centered research university in America.
For the Future will enable the next generation, and all the succeeding generations, of Penn State graduates to realize their full potential in sustaining their families, advancing their professions, and contributing to our country's strength. It also is a campaign to enable Penn State to realize its full potential in creating prosperity, keeping our nation competitive, and enhancing the quality of life.
The campaign's objectives are:
- ensuring student opportunity through scholarship support.
- securing additional resources to enrich the student experience beyond the classroom and lab.
- strengthening honors education.
- increasing the number of endowed faculty positions.
- and fostering discovery and creativity through research and other scholarly endeavors.
Gifts toward all of these objectives will have a profound impact on our ability to meet the needs of our students and a changing world, and will allow Penn State Altoona to fulfill the mission that we share with Penn State as a whole.
Penn State Altoona Campaign Council
Over the length of the For the Future campaign, Penn State and volunteer leaders will work together to raise private support for initiatives with the power to transform our institution. The mission of Penn State Altoona's Campaign Council is to assist in raising funds through private support and identifying and preparing strategies for prospective and current donors.

Penn State Altoona Faculty/Staff Campaign
Members of Penn State Altoona's campus community gathered in the Adler Athletic Complex on February 4, 2010, to celebrate the launch of the college's Faculty/Staff Campaign. In support of For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students, the Faculty/Staff Campaign Council announced a goal that seeks an unprecedented level of support: one hundred percent participation among faculty and staff.
The council believes that the philanthropic support of every faculty and staff member will adequately reflect the shared commitment of the campus community to students. In addition, the expectation is that maximum participation will serve as a source of inspiration for alumni and friends throughout the region and beyond.
Dr. C. Cecil Cuppett, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, is chair of the Faculty/Staff Campaign Council. The council includes representatives of every academic and administrative unit on campus and retirees.
