Welcome to IvyLink!

In a month when many express their affection for friends and loved ones through Valentine’s cards, boxes of chocolate, and assorted gifts, it seems entirely appropriate that Penn State Altoona’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations introduces our first electronic newsletter. My hope is that you will view this latest form of communication as a symbol of the value we place on our relationship with alumni.

Keeping you connected to your alma mater is one of my team’s highest priorities. Through monthly production of IvyLink, we are reaching out to you with timely news, entertaining nuggets of information, and stories that inspire. I hope our e-newsletter will appeal to your interests and deliver information that fosters pride in the achievements of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends.

The design elements of IvyLink acknowledge the time constraints that impact your discretionary activities. Whether you opt for a quick glance or more in-depth review, IvyLink offers a comprehensive look at subjects in the spotlight at Penn State Altoona.

I welcome your feedback on IvyLink, along with news of a personal nature that you may wish to consider submitting for the Class Notes section of Ivy Leaf magazine, such as wedding and birth announcements, career news, and special achievements. E-mails may be sent to IvyLink@psu.edu.

Thank you for your time and interest in our latest initiative to keep you connected to Penn State Altoona. See you next month, and remember to tell me your thoughts about our newest creation.

Warm regards,

N. Susan Woodring
