Faculty/Staff Campaign Council Sells Sweet Treats to Support Scholarships
Penn State Altoona staff members Jack Sinclair, Louisa Lobre-Riley, and Michele Kennedy display specially baked cookies that were sold by the college’s Faculty/Staff Campaign Council as a Valentine’s fundraiser. With sponsorship of the fundraiser, the council proudly renewed its ongoing commitment to foster philanthropic support for the University-wide fundraising campaign named For the Future: The Campaign for Penn State Students.
The cookies, baked by Penn State Housing and Food Services in the shape of a lion paw print with a heart in the middle, were sold by council members and volunteers at various locations throughout campus. Net proceeds of approximately $800 benefited student scholarships at Penn State Altoona. Sinclair and Kennedy are members of the council. Lobre-Riley provides administrative support to the council in her role as Associate Director of Alumni Relations.
