Outstanding Achievement in Research & Creative Activity AwardDescription of the Award. Each year, Altoona College seeks to recognize distinguished contributions of the faculty through presentation of an Outstanding Achievement in Research & Creative Activity Award. The winner receives a plaque, a medal to wear with academic regalia, and a $1000 cash award. The winner will be announced at the spring research reception recognizing faculty for their external grants, published books, and creative accomplishments. Purpose of the Award. The Award is intended to recognize outstanding research, scholarship or creative activity in any field, discipline or area faculty have achieved at Altoona College during the prior two years. This is not intended as a career achievement award. Number of Recipients. There will be one recipient of the award annually. Determination of Award. Those nominating someone for this award must complete the nomination form, attach a current vita, and submit the material to the Assistant Dean for Research. Nominations will be reviewed by the Assistant Dean for Research in consultation with the Research Advisory Committee who will prepare a formal recommendation for review by the Associate Dean and Chancellor. |
