Helping Students in Distress

At Risk is an interactive simulation.  You will learn to identify warning signs of mental distress and have the opportunity to engage in simulated conversations with up to five virtual students and how to refer to our counseling center if necessary.  Use enrollment key psu07.

Working with Worrisome Students is a web-based training program that teaches you to recognize distressed students and how to intervene appropriately.  It consists of three video vignettes and follow-up discussions with useful pointers and references to campus and community resources.

Early Alert allows you to share your concern about a student's academic progress, wellness, or safety.  Submit concerns on-line.

Understanding and Helping the Suicidal Person
