Ice Hockey
Penn State Altoona Ice Hockey is entering it's fifth year of competition, fourth in College Hockey East. PSU Altoona Ice Hockey is also a Division III member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, comprised of club hockey programs across the country. The team successfully made the playoffs in 2005, an accomplishment for such a young program consistently made up of freshman and sophomores competing against juniors and seniors. This years program has the most potential yet, with word rapidly spreading about the reputation of the program in Altoona. The group of incoming freshman competing for spots on the team is the largest yet. Coach Mike Bowman is in his fourth year with the program, and couldn't be more pleased with the progress the program has made in such a short period of time.
