Allied Motion, Penn State Altoona's resident dance company, explored war through music from the Civil War period to the Vietnam period with selections from its repertoire, "Who Won the Human Race?" in February. Also performed were "Insert Here" and "The Reluctant Mambo." A new work by artistic director KT Huckabee, "Insert Here" is a dance based on rhythm and rhythmic changes in relation to each other. "The Reluctant Mambo" is a dance in three sections that focuses on oppression, particularly of women.
