Franklin Passes 1,000 Point Mark
Penn State Altoona junior guard Tyler Franklin eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau in February during a match at Lake Erie College and was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week. Franklin joins Josh Baker as the only Lion players to surpass 1,000 career points. With a solid senior campaign next year, he has a realistic shot of surpassing Baker and becoming the school's all-time leading scorer.
Penn State Altoona debuts basketball "E-newsletter"
Penn State Altoona's inaugural basketball E-newsletter debuted for the 2005-2006 season. Published every other Monday, the E-newsletter contains the latest Penn State Altoona basketball news along with up-to-date standings, scores, and highlights from the last two weeks of action. It also contains feature stories on Lion and Lady Lion players, and gives an all-access pass inside the men's and women's basketball programs. Fans have heard from men's coach Alan Seretti and women's coach Donna Kling on a variety of topics, and get the coaches' thoughts in the "Coaches Corner" segment.

DiBartolo named Women's Tennis Newcomer of the Year
Penn State Altoona women's tennis player Katie DiBartolo was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year for the 2005 tennis season. DiBartolo won the number five singles crown at this year's AMCC tournament; she is one of four freshmen that will be returning to the Lady Lions squad next season.
Men's Tennis Team 2006 AMCC Championships
The Penn State Altoona men's tennis team has once again captured the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, with a perfect 6-0 in-conference campaign. Overall, the squad finished the regular season with an 8-3 record. This is the second straight conference championship and fourth in the last five years.
