Volleyball Concludes Successful Season

The Penn State Altoona women's volleyball team concluded its most successful season of competition as a member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference by earning the top seed in the postseason tournament. Head coach Tick Hedrick-Sheaffer's squad won 10 of 12 AMCC matches during the regular season to earn homecourt advantage, but lost a hard-fought contest to Frostburg State in the semifinals. Penn State Altoona finished with an overall mark of 17-7. Hedrick-Sheaffer was voted Conference Coach of the Year and four of her players also earned individual honors. Annie Byler and Amy Szalankiewicz were named to the All-Conference team. Lindsey Prall and Colleen Shields received Honorable Mention recognition.
