Howard Ayers '51, of San Diego, CA, has been named a "Melvin Jones Fellow" by Lions Club International. The award recognizes humanitarian service and is the highest honor bestowed by the organization. (Penn State Altoona 1948-49)

Mark J. Wharton '71 has accepted a position as assistant professor of electrical engineering at Penn State's University Park campus. After a 30-year career in industry, Mark will be teaching undergraduate level courses in electrical engineering. Mark and his wife, Mary, live in State College, PA, with their two children: Katie (20) and Chris (15). (Penn State Altoona 1967-68)

John Francis Tierney '76, of North Wales, PA, has been appointed Director of Business Risk Services for the mid-Atlantic area by Ernst & Young. (Penn State Altoona 1972-74)

Robert J. Nalisnick '77, and wife, Gloria, of Hollidaysburg, PA, are the parents of Kristen Lynne, a '99 Penn State graduate, and Joshua, a student at Penn College in Williamsport. They have a granddaughter, Eden Jade.

Lisa (Carney) Militello '91, and husband, Vince, of Heathrow, FL, are the parents of two daughters: Marina Reid, 5, and Mariel Julian, born February 1. (Penn State Altoona 1986-88)
