Development and Alumni Move to the "Beech"

In early December, development and alumni relations staff members relocated from the Smith Building to the Beech House, a two-story structure situated on a hill directly across Gwin Road from Spruce and Cedar residence halls.

A generous gift from the Penn State Altoona Advisory Board made possible the acquisition of two adjoining properties containing homes that were renovated and renamed Beech House and Larch House. Larch is a guest house that will offer temporary accommodations to special guests and to faculty and staff who are in the process of relocating to the area.

Beech House features five offices, a conference room and a deck for outdoor events, in addition to easier access to parking for alumni and friends visiting with the Office and Development and Alumni Relations.

For directions to Beech House, please contact the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 814-949-5104 or (800) 874-8055.
