Homecoming 2004

A series of weeklong activities highlighted Penn State Altoona's Homecoming 2004, held from September 25 through October 2.

Homecoming events took off on September 27 with the movie-themed karaoke competition featuring such hits as "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic and "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. Other fun activities throughout the week included canoe races held on the College's pond, a Hollywood game show, a jello-eating contest, a homecoming dance, and a movie-themed skit contest.

On Saturday, students took time out from the crazy antics of homecoming to participate in a heart walk at Blair County Ballpark. Then, at noon, students, families, and friends returned to campus for an afternoon of carnival activities. The week's events were concluded with back-to-back women's and men's soccer games. This year's homecoming king and queen, Christopher Hubert and Jennifer Fulmer, were crowned during halftime of the men's soccer game. After the game, the crowd enjoyed the homecoming festivities' grand finale: a fantastic fireworks display.
