Thomas H. McTavish '64 has been reappointed to serve a third eight-year term as Auditor General of the State of Michigan through unanimous votes by the Michigan House and Senate in October 2005. He was sworn into office on December 9. A Life Member of the Penn State Alumni Association, McTavish resides in Williamston, Minnesota, with his wife, Cynthia, and 11-year-old daughter, Caitlin. Eileen Fein, of Oak Park, Ilinois, writes that the year she spent at Penn State Altoona (1964-65) was "formative, challenging and liberating. I think of it and the people I met there fondly. Keep up the good work." An Illinois resident since 1966, Fein graduated from Northern Illinois University and Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law. She and her husband, Morris Seeskin, have a general civil law practice. Fein specializes in family law. The couple has four children and is active in their community. (Penn State Altoona 1964-65)


Clifford Torban '73, has been appointed general manager, Annuity Division, at American Brokerage Services in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Torban and his wife, Christine, have four children, and two are Penn State graduates. (Penn State Altoona 1969-71)

Robert G. Grassi '79, of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, serves as the senior program director at the Greater Johnstown Community YMCA. His daughter, Roann, graduated from Penn State's University Park campus in December 2005. (Penn State Altoona 1975-77)


Marty Jo (Irvin) Stellabotte '88 and husband, Tim, of Altoona, welcomed the birth of their first child, Morgan Gianna, on January 18, 2006. (Penn State Altoona 1984-86)


Tamara E. (Hall) Showalter '90, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, has joined the law firm of Herr and Low, P.C., as an owner. (Penn State Altoona 1980-81, 87-88)

Elizabeth A. Saylor '92, '00g and husband, Bryan, of Altoona, announce the birth of daughter, Sarah Rebecca, born October 30, 2005. The Saylors' two other children are Natalie Louise and Aaron Michael. (Penn State Altoona 1988-90)

Susan McNulty-Atwater '99, of Barker, New York, completed her fifth marathon when she ran the New York City Marathon for the second time, in 2005. McNulty-Atwater, a food process engineer for a private global food company based in Buffalo, New York, is married to Ben Atwater, a Cornell University graduate. (Penn State Altoona 1995-98)


Eric Shoop '00, of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, married Elizabeth Bearley on September 17, 2005, at Lake Raystown Resort in Hesston, Pennsylvania.

Sandra Stevenson '01, of Houston, Texas, married Al Alverson on January 7, 2006, in a sunset wedding in Aruba.

Chris Coho '02 was promoted to Manufacturing Software Project Manager at Seven D Industries in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Marcia, reside in Altoona. (Penn State Altoona 1993-97)

Ryan Adams '03 and Amy Szalankiewicz '03, of State College, Pennsylvania, were married on July 23, 2005, in Altoona.

Erin Koeck '03, of Altoona, married Adam Bush on September 18, 2004, in Altoona.

Crystal Conrad '04, of Altoona and Joshua Harkins of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, are engaged to be married. A September 9, 2006 wedding is planned.

Kristi DePaul '05, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is engaged to Ryan Ries. The couple is planning a September 2007 wedding. DePaul is pursuing a master's degree at Carnegie Mellon University. (Penn State Altoona 2001-03)

Abigail Christine Park '05, of Tyrone, Pennsylvania, is planning to open a dance studio next year.

Amanda (Patterson) Weber '05, of Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, announces the birth of son, Robert Carl III, on January 3, 2006.
