The British Invasion

Penn State Altoona experienced a British invasion when Ivyside Pride!, the college's musical theatre performance ensemble, presented "A Tribute to the Beatles."

Directed by Greggory Brandt, instructor in theatre arts, and featuring choreography by KT Huckabee, assistant professor of integrative arts and dance, the group presented thirty-five Beatles hits including "I Want to Hold Your Hand," "Eleanor Rigby," "Come Together," "Let it Be," and "Hey Jude."

"I've never seen the group this excited for a show," states sophomore Sam Wagner, one of the group's performers. "Everyone knows the Beatles, and this show gave us a chance to sing some songs that we love and do some dancing that is more modern and psychedelic. What's really great is that both younger and older audiences could connect with this show, especially those who came in already having a love for the Beatles. It was a really upbeat and entertaining show. We couldn't wait to take the stage!"
