4th Annual History Encampment set for April 12
The Penn State Altoona History Department and History Society will be hosting its fourth history encampment on campus throughout the day on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on the lawns outside the Hawthorn building.
A Living History timeline will display reenactors, equipment, and artifacts from numerous time periods including the Revolutionary War, the Mexican-American War, the American Civil War, Prohibition, World War II, and the Vietnam War. Reenactors in period clothing and gear will be conducting informal history programs for students and visitors. Professors are invited to bring their classes for special presentations throughout the day.
The event is free and open to the public. Join historians and students for a day of educational and entertaining displays and discussion.
