University Relations
The Office of University Relations (UR) supports the marketing, communications, public relations, and Web site work for Penn State Altoona. We provide campus-wide support to ensure a consistent look for all external and internal publications. We design and develop publications, advertisements, video and television spots, billboards, flyers and more for the institution as a whole, as well as for individual departments on our campus. We are also responsible for the design and structure of the Penn State Altoona Web site.
In addition, UR offers public relations support for the institution and individual departments through media relations and press releases distributed both locally and nationally, when appropriate.
Public relations, both internal and external, is important in creating a positive image of our college.
UR is available to assist faculty and staff in generating publicity for your offices, department, campus organizations,
and all other University-sponsored events. Because of the workings of the media, official news releases should be sent only through, or with the approval of, the Office of University Relations. All publicity should be coordinated through the Office of University Relations.
