SNAPSHOTS: Spring 2009 commencement celebration a success
Penn State Altoona held its spring 2009 commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 9 at the Blair County Convention Center. Degrees were awarded to 218 students. John J. Romano, vice-president of Commonwealth Campuses at Penn State, was the commencement speaker. This was the first year commencement was held in the Blair County Convention Center, due to the increasing number of graduates each year.
