SNAPSHOTS: Chancellor gets the job done!
Chancellor Lori Bechtel-Wherry donned her work pants and shoes this week and joined in the behind-the-scenes labor of the campus.
Bechtel-Wherry mowed grass, washed windows, and helped out in the boiler room and kitchen to gain appreciation for the different departments around the campus with which she doesn’t have the chance to interact regularly, especially facilities and operations and housing and food services. Spending the better part of the day with the different departments gives her hands-on experience with what it takes to keep the campus running smoothly.
Bechtel-Wherry tries to do this twice a year; once in the summer and once in the fall.
