Assistant professor featured in magazine article

Nicholas Rowland, assistant professor of sociology at Penn State Altoona, was recently featured in an article written for "uwemp," a open-source media company and reader-directed magazine profiling people, organizations, challenges, setbacks and lessons learned that have led to sustained success.

Rowland’s article was written by Penn State student Wes Culp, who currently attends Penn State's University Park campus, a freelance writer and auxiliary policeman. The article describes Rowland’s journey on the path to becoming a professor of sociology and his philosophies on teaching.
