Former Arkansas governor and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee spoke at Penn State Altoona on Thursday, April 22, 2010 in the Adler Athletic Complex. Huckabee's talk was part of the Penn State Altoona Speaker Series.

Huckabee is the host of a self-titled show on the Fox News Channel and the "Huckabee Report" on the Citadel Media Network. A candidate for the Republican nomination for president in 2008, Huckabee served as the 44th governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. He has been honored by numerous publications and organizations. "Governing" magazine named him one of its Public Officials of the Year for 2005, and "Time" magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America. Huckabee also was presented with the Music for Life Award in 2007 by the National Association of Music Merchants for his commitment to music education. An avid musician, Huckabee is bass player in his rock-n-roll band, which has opened for artists such as Willie Nelson and the Charlie Daniels Band.
