Communications professor to release new book

A new book by Shaheed Nick Mohammed, associate professor of communications at Penn State Altoona, will be released January 20, 2012. The (Dis)information Age: The Persistence of Ignorance challenges prevailing notions about the impact of new information and media technologies.

Mohammed earned his doctorate from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque. He is the author of Communication and the Globalization of Culture: Beyond Tradition and Borders (2011).
