Baird Recognized as Emerging Athletic Administrator

ALTOONA, Pa. – Penn State Altoona Assistant Director of Athletics and Compliance Officer Brent Baird has been named the recipient of the Emerging Athletic Administrator Award by the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators. He will be presented with the award on January 14, 2012 at the NCAA Convention/NADIIIAA Reception in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The award recognizes one NCAA Division III athletics administrator for his or her leadership roles on campus or in a conference office. The recipient is also honored for community involvement and demonstrating a commitment to professional development.

Baird is in his fifth year as the Assistant Director of Athletics and Compliance Officer at Penn State Altoona. He has worked a total of 17 years at the school, also holding positions as an Admissions Counselor, Sports Information Director and Faculty member for parts of that period.

Baird currently resides in Duncansville, Pennsylvania.
