Murphy to publish fifth poetry book

Erin Murphy, associate professor of English, has just signed a contract for her fifth book of poetry, Distant Glitter. The collection will be published by Word Press of Cincinnati, OH, in July 2013.

Distant Glitter features the poem "Debriefing: A Poem in Parts," winner of the 2011 Normal School Poetry Prize. Murphy's previous poetry collections include Word Problems, Too Much of This World, Dislocation and Other Theories, and Science of Desire. In addition, she is co-editor with colleague Todd Davis of Making Poems: 40 Poems with Commentary by the Poets, an anthology of poetry and creative nonfiction.
