Announcing events for Black History Month 2012

Penn State Altoona's Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity, and International Student Services is sponsoring or co-sponsoring a number of events in commemoration of Black History Month 2012. The schedule of events is as follows:

- Saturday, February 11 - Bus trip to the African American Museum in Philadelphia, PA

- Sunday, February 12 - African American Read-in Community Kickoff, 4:00 - 6:30 p.m., Port Sky Café

- Monday, February 13 - African American Read-in "Monday Marathon," 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Slep Student Center. Featured poet Adrian Matejka will offer a reading of his poetry beginning at 5:30 p.m.

- Wednesday, February 15 - Finding Your Path with Dr. Roselyn Costantino, 12:15 - 1:00 p.m., Eve Chapel

- Thursday, February 23 - Race Manners with Bruce Jacobs, "Navigating the Minefield between Black and White Americans," 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Slep Student Center

- Monday, February 27 - Women and Jazz with Galen Abdur-Razzaq, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., Slep Student Center

- Monday, February 27 - Passport to Jazz, With Galen Abdur-Razzaq, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., Port Sky Café

- Wednesday, February 29 - International Tea with ISA, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m., Slep Student Center, 103 Lounge
