Ivyside Pride, Cutsforth-Huber to perform at Carnegie Hall April 1

Ivyside Pride, Penn State Altoona's choral ensemble, together with other festival choruses and the New York City Chamber Orchestra, will perform Mozart's Requium Mass in D Minor at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. In addition, Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber, assistant professor of music and director of Ivyside Pride, will perform as one of the soloists for the concert.

Penn State Altoona students are encouraged to attend the concert by signing up for a one-day bus trip on the day of the concert. The bus will depart from Penn State Altoona at 5:00 a.m. and will return to campus at approximately 11:30 p.m. Cost for the trip, which includes both bus fare and a ticket to the concert, is $5 and is payable to Jennifer Puhatch and Amy Wilkes in room 103 of the Hawthorn building. Students must show a valid PSU ID to sign up for the trip. Additional funding for tickets is provided by the Student Activity Fee, the Division of Arts and Humanities, and the German language program.
