Finding Your Path with Joel Weiss March 15

Penn State Altoona's Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity, and International Student Services will present the next entry in the "Finding Your Path" series on Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 12:15 p.m. in the Edith Davis Eve Chapel. The event will feature speaker Joel Weiss, part time lecturer in communication arts and sciences.

Weiss was born in Manhattan and grew up in Queens, New York surrounded by diversity but challenged by shyness and a stutter. In 1961 he completed a BS degree in speech from New York University and began to teach in New York City, later serving in the Army Medical Corps as a Social Work Technician. After completing his MA in speech pathology at NYU, Weiss joined the faculty at Penn State Altoona in the fall of 1999.
