Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Pride will present Mozart Requiem (K. 626) April 19 – 22, 2012 in the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Performances are Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 for Penn State students and $7 general admission. Children under 12 are free.

Ivyside Pride is under the direction of Bonnie Cutsforth-Huber, assistant professor of music at Penn State Altoona. The choral ensemble provides singers with an opportunity to explore different genres of choral music, from Broadway choruses to works by classical and contemporary giants. Students are also exposed to music in languages other than English. In May 2010, the choir performed its first ever European tour through France, Germany, and Switzerland to sold-out houses. The choir will make its Carnegie Hall debut performing the Mozart Requiem with New York City Chamber Orchestra and Festival Choirs, April 1, 2012, with Cutsforth Huber as the featured soloist.

Tickets for Mozart Requiem (K. 626) are available at the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday - Thursday and before and during all performances. For further information, call 814-949-5452.
