Students present poetry, papers, and receive scholarship at national conference

Three Penn State Altoona English students recently attended the national conference of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society, held in New Orleans from February 29 - March 3, 2012.

Junior Sarah McDonald and senior Sarah Abraham presented their original poetry and junior Erin Horning presented her critical paper on the Ernest Hemingway story "The Snows of Kilimanjaro."

Horning was also awarded a competitive summer internship with Better World Books in Alpharetta, GA. The scholarship is sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta and was announced as part of the conference.
