Penn State Altoona’s Eco-Action team and the Blair County Conservation District are partnering up for this year’s Earth Day celebration on campus. Stop by the college on Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. for games, activities, information, and entertainment.

Penn State Altoona will have many activities to educate and involve the public in all things planet Earth, including yoga sessions at 1 and 3 p.m., canoe races, a rock-climbing wall, live music, and crafts such as tye-dying and rain stick making. There will also be children’s activities, a May Pole, an Earth Day Tree, and a tree planting ceremony and dedication at 3:45. An E-Waste drop off will be available for community members to bring old or broken electronics. Vendors will be on hand and the Intermunicipal Relations Committee will have recycling and composting information.

All activities are free and open to the public.
