Penn State Altoona celebrates accomplishments in research

Penn State Altoona held its annual Research Reception on April 17, 2012. The reception honors those who received external grants and/or who have published books over the last year. Twenty-eight such items were recognized during the reception.

Brian Black, professor of history and environmental studies, was also recognized as the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in Research and Creative Activity Award. Black received a plaque, a $1,000 cash award, and a medal.
