Felicia Brown-Haywood speaks as part of Finding Your Path series

Penn State Altoona's Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity, and International Student Services presented an installment in their "Finding Your Path" series on Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Edith Davis Eve Chapel. The event featured Dr. Felicia Brown-Haywood, director of Student Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg.

In addition to her administrative position, Brown-Haywood serves as an affiliate graduate faculty member in the School of Behavioral Sciences and Education and on the professional counseling team at Penn State. She is a national certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor. Brown- Haywood is an ordained minister and serves as associate pastor at the Beulah Baptist Church in Steelton, PA. She is co-owner with her husband Reginald of Hairliners Beauty Studio which they have operated for more than 25 years. They have 6 children and 10 grandchildren.

"Finding Your Path" is a speaker series that emphasizes the informal reflections of faculty and staff members on their personal journeys and intellectual passions. The goal of this program is to give students, especially students from underrepresented groups, role models to open their view of the diverse world and motivate their college career.
