Bus loop changes for fall 2012 announced

Penn State Altoona and AMTRAN have announced changes in the bus loop schedule for the fall 2012 semester. Changes in bus service are connected directly to ridership numbers and costs associated with continuing to offer the service. Please note the bus changes listed below:

— The Downtown Loop from Ivyside (Hawthorn Bus Shelter) to the Downtown classroom areas will begin at 7:20 a.m. on weekdays (Mon-Fri). Trips will run at 7:20 and 7:40 a.m.

— The Downtown Loop from Ivyside (Hawthorn Bus Shelter) to the Downtown classroom areas will run 3 times per hour (every 20 minutes: on the top of the hour, 20 minutes after the hour and 20 minutes to the hour) from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

— The Downtown Loop from Ivyside (Hawthorn Bus Shelter) to the Downtown classroom areas will run one time per hour after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (Mon-Fri).

— The Blue and White Loops (serving off-campus housing areas as well as 25th Avenue and Broadway locations) will run from 7:20 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (Mon-Fri). PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SERVICE WILL STOP AT 5:00 p.m.
