Penn State Altoona presented a "Hard Freight Café," a coffee-house, open mic event, on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts. Students, faculty, and staff came together to read/perform their own work or work by a favorite writer/musician. The event was kicked off with a poetry reading by faculty member Rachael Lyon Wiley and alum Brian Miller. The event was sponsored by Hard Freight, Penn State Altoona's student literary magazine.
