Penn State Altoona students, alumni, and family members who attended the homecoming tailgate party in the on Saturday, October 6 were treated to an extra special dessert — A Penn State-themed cake from Carlo's Bakery of TLC's Cake Boss.

The cake, which featured a hand-made reproduction of the Penn State Lion Shrine, was provided by Cake Boss stars Mauro and Maddalena Castano, parents of freshman Mary Castano. Tailgaters enjoyed the cake and mingled with the Castano family while watching the Penn State Nittany Lions defeat Northwestern on a large projection screen in the newly-refurbished Slep Student Center.
