Cherokee Hoop Dance to perform November 1

Penn State Altoona's Office of Institutional Equity, Diversity, and International Student Services will present The Cherokee Hoop Dance on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in the Pond View Lounge of the Slep Student Center.

The Cherokee Hoop Dance is a form of storytelling dance incorporating anywhere from one to thirty hoops. The hoops are used to create various formations that represent numerous animals, symbols, and storytelling elements. Come learn about the art of Cherokee Hoop Dancing and experience a live performance.

This event is free and open to the public.
