Penn State Altoona Honors Alumni Fellow Mark Bowser

Mark F. Bowser, a former Penn State Altoona student and 1977 Penn State graduate, participated in a series of activities on campus October 15 and 16, 2012, in celebration of his selection as a Penn State Alumni Fellow. The most prestigious award presented by the Penn State Alumni Association, the Alumni Fellow Award honors prominent and outstanding alumni who are leaders in their fields and who have made notable contributions to society and their communities.

Bowser is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Cox Communications Inc., the third largest cable television company in the country. Throughout his career with several Fortune 500 companies, Bowser has been selected for numerous senior-level executive positions with oversight responsibilities for areas such as accounting, financial analysis, and mergers and acquisitions.

During his campus visit, Bowser offered presentations to accounting, communications, and entrepreneurship classes and met with students pursuing courses of study in business and entrepreneurial studies. Bowser is the tenth Penn State Altoona nominee to receive the Alumni Fellow Award.
