Important Information: Voting and Identification

Monday, November 5, 2012 - 370 hits

Because the proposed voter identification law for Pennsylvania was struck down by the Honorable Robert Simpson of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania, you will not be required to produce an ID in order to vote on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 unless you are a first-time voter.

All voters who appear at a polling place for the first time must show proof of identification. For information as to approved forms of identification and other first-time voter information, please visit http://www.votespa.com/portal/server.pt?open=514&objID=1174125&mode=2 online.

Even if you are not a first-time voter, you still may be asked to produce identification, and it is suggested that you carry your ID and show it when asked, in order to expedite the voting process.
