Alum Barry Minemyer to present at faculty seminar

Penn State Altoona's Mathematics degree program will welcome back alum Barry Minemyer on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in room 143 of the Hawthorn Building. Minemyer will offer a presentation to mathematics faculty members as one of the mathematics degree program's Geometry/Topology Seminars for faculty members.

Minemyer, a former Penn State Altoona basketball player, graduated from the college in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics. He then entered the Ph.D. program in Mathematics at SUNY Binghamton where he has been making steady progress towards earning his doctorate degree. Minemyer will speak on his Ph.D. thesis results in a talk titled "Simplicial Isometric Embeddings of a Finite Simplicial Complex into R^p_q."
