Class kicks off reading of "Moby Dick" with sea chantey performance

Students enrolled in ENGL 430 The American Renaissance were treated to a visit and performance by Steven Sherrill, associate professor of English and Integrative Arts, and the Allegheny Bilge Rats on November 8, 2012. According to the course's instructor Sandy Petrulionis, professor of English and American Studies, the group performed traditional sea chanteys for the class as it prepared to begin reading Herman Melville's classic novel "Moby Dick."
