Patricia Jabbeh Wesley, associate professor of English, has published her first children's book, In Monrovia, the River Visits the Sea. It was released by One Moore Book Publishers of New York, NY.

The book is meant for children in first through third grades and will launch in the United States and Liberia at the end of January.

Wesley was also featured in an article in an article of the December issue of Encore: Southwest Michigan’s Magazine. The article, "Liberian War Survivor Works on Her Memoir," is a follow-up to a 2001 cover story of Wesley and her poetry. Wesley's poem "In this Town," was reprinted as part of the article.
