The Penn State Altoona Honors Program is thrilled to announce the following recipients of the Fall Achievement Awards: Jawad Alharmoosh, William Aiken, Drew Bittner, Brady Boyer, Jackson Brumbaugh, Mark Brumbaugh, Kristen Cummings, Devony DiMattia, Mary Griffin, Ariana Henderson, Stephanie Jeffer, Sarah Landis, Anne Maucieri, Laura McCarthy, Errin McCaulley, Julie Meinert, Steve Niemkiewicz, Jordan Sell, Priya Sharma, Brittany Smith, and Anne Valiando.

Awards are anywhere from $100 - $200 and are given to about twenty students who have participated actively in the Honors Program and have done so with distinction. Students who have earned a 3.7 GPA or higher during the semester and/or have made notable achievements in their research projects, enrolled in and successfully completed an impressive number of honors credits, and/or have undertaken particularly praiseworthy service projects are given highest preference during the decision process. Because the competition was so stiff for the semester, only students who attained a 4.0 GPA received awards.

The awards are announced at the beginning of the spring semester so that these funds can be applied to spring tuition and fees.
