MLK DAY OF SERVICE
The Offices of Institutional Equity & Diversity and Student Life have put together some service opportunities for you to give back! Please respond to this email if you intend to participate in any option off-campus so we can fill you in on more details. The on-campus opportunities will be taking place Thursday, January 24th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Off-Campus Opportunities:
Domestic Violence Shelter: Clothing Sorting, organizing and cleaning the office, Sign up for what hours work for you! Please RSVP to jmp54@psu.edu. Transportation is on your own.

On-Campus Opportunities- Misciagna 101 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Blanket Making: Donate your time and crafty "genes" to make blankets to donate to Family Services, Inc. Materials will be provided.

Letter Writing: Write and send Letters overseas to troops serving the United States via A Million Thanks Organization. Materials will be provided.

Create Joke Books for Children: Create a joke book for a child at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Materials will be provided.

St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen: Donate canned goods by bringing them to room 101-103 in Misciagna from 9-4pm.

Create Medical Play Dolls: Come create medical play dolls for a child of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Materials will be provided.

Campus Climate Breakfast:
On Friday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. in Mountain View Room (Port Sky), a Campus Climate Breakfast Forum will be held in order to address issues of diversity, discrimination, and advocacy on Penn State Altoona's campus. Please register to participate in this event and let your voice be heard. If you are only able to make it to the first hour of the forum we would like to still encourage you to register and come!

Students will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for one of two $50 Barnes and Noble Gift Cards or a $15 Fandango gift card!
