Brian Black and Gary Weisel recently published the new four-volume reference set Climate Change: An Encyclopedia of Science and History with ABC-Clio.

Black, professor of history and environmental studies, served as general editor and Weisel, professor of physics, as an associate editor with David M. Hassenzahl (Chatham College), Jennie C. Stephens (Clark University), and Nancy Gift (Berea College).

The 1700-page set of books contains articles written by nearly 200 scholars and will be primarily used by students in reference libraries. Climate Change goes beyond pure science to consider other important factors, weighing the cultural, historical, and policy-driven contributors to this issue. In addition, the book explores the ideas that have converged and evolved in order to clarify the globe's current predicament.
