Hard Freight Café, an open mic event, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Titelman Study of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with a poetry reading by Lee Peterson, instructor in English and Women’s Studies.

Attendees are invited to read or perform their own work or music, or share a favorite piece of poetry or prose. A sign-up sheet will be distributed at the beginning of the program.

The reading and open mic event are sponsored by the English program and Hard Freight, Penn State Altoona’s student literary magazine. Both programs are free and open to the public.
