Chancellor to receive President's Medal of Distinctive Excellence from University of Pittsburgh Johnstown

Chancellor Lori J. Bechtel-Wherry has been selected to receive the President's Medal of Distinctive Excellence from the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. The highest award bestowed by Pitt Johnstown, the Medal recognizes exceptional persons for their exemplary contributions to social, cultural, and humanitarian efforts. Honorees are also chosen based on their professional leadership and service to the community.

Bechtel-Wherry will receive her award during Pitt Johnstown's Academic Honors Convocation Sunday, March 24, 2013. She will join university leadership as a member of the platform party and deliver a keynote address to students being honored for their academic achievements.
